Boyband To End All Boybands...
by Mo Aziz

In response to a pop industry saturated with cheery male and female vocal harmony groups, England’s top miserablists have donated their frontmen to a worthy cause. An idea that just might turn off the deluded (and Pop Idol/Fame Academy judges) from the funding and continuation of such factory line ‘music’ crimes has resulted in DepressedLife.

Movie Openings
by Jimmy Two Times
Movie Openings I'm thinking these top three are pretty close to the mark as far as everybody's top 3 is going to end up looking like.

Star Wars IV: A New Hope, or as I like to call it: Star Wars!! The feeling of the enormity of it all as that first Star Destroyer comes into view and just seems to go on and on, you could see people in the cinema actually ducking.

Coming in as a close runner up is the beginning of Raiders Of The Lost Ark - the boulder, double crossing Alfred Molina, that Indy theme playing throughout, culminating in that run down the hill "Start the engines!!!"

Thirdly we have poor Chrissie's final swim in Jaws - Spielberg's a genius - nuff said.

Fourth I have Blade's opening scene in the nightclub with New Order pumping away in the background (that's their tune, not the band having sex). I remember on its release myself and Tyler Durden sitting in the cinema and as the opening punch up ensued, we both just looked at each other with a broad "frickin' A!!" look on our faces. I remember when I got the DVD; every time people were coming over I was like "look at this!!"-Sorry vicar...

Finally I know if I had to choose a Bond opening that the main consensus would like me to choose an older one, but Tomorrow Never Dies has one of the best openings for a long time. The action, the soundtrack, Brosnan; everything was right on the money. "What the hell's he doing?" "His Job!" Yeah man!!!!!
